Making money online can be a great way to have a lifestyle that you want but it is easy to make mistakes and end up being frustrated and not being able to make anything at all. Here’s what you need to know if you are new to this world:

Pulling Focus

You are bombarded every day with about a million different offers, all of them probably sound extremely tempting but the truth of the matter is that they can pull you in a million different directions. It’s what we call shiny object syndrome – you think one more course, one more product is going to make the difference for you. It won’t. You know what will make the difference? Picking one thing and sticking with it.

Being a Salesman Instead of a Problem Solver

Sorry, but you are not the in the sales game when you sell things online. You are in the problem-solving game. The truth is that nobody likes being sold to. However, everyone likes having their problems solved. If you can help someone solve a problem they are having (in my case, it’s how to make money online but in your case, it may be how to lose weight or how to improve their golf game) then you don’t need to worry about sales. They will come once you start showing people that they can trust you.

Lack of Comparison

When you go to a website and start looking at the products for sale on that site, do you automatically buy it? If you aren’t familiar with the product, probably not. You may want to comparison shop and see what else is out there before you rush off to buy this shiny new object. The same thing holds true for your customers. If you just say this is the best and it’s going to do what you want, they may well go off and look elsewhere for a similar product. On the other hand, if you compare your product to someone else’s product and show them why this product is better, they are more likely to stick with you.

Make false claims

Nobody likes the feeling of having been scammed. And if you do make your customers feel as if they were scammed then you may as well kiss those customers goodbye. Keep going and you’ll end up with a reputation as a scammer. The best way to do that is not to make false claims when you put your advertising copy out. Tell the truth about the product that you are selling and you will find that people will keep coming back to buy more from you.

Lack of Consistency

Want to make money online? Be consistent. Take action every single day and make sure that you are consistent. Personally, I like to make myself a to do list every day and then cross things off as I go through it. This way I can make sure that I get done what I need to get done. Otherwise, it’s too easy to get distracted and to forget about doing the things that you need to be doing.
